A Message From Mrs. T

Dear Friends: Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit my site. While the 84th Texas Legislative Session may have come to an end, there is still plenty of work to be done for the great state of Texas. During the interim I will be working on making sure that the policies we have passed during session are properly monitored and implemented. Here you will find not only information about what is going on in District 141, but information about what is currently going on all around the state. Thank you again for visiting.

During the 84th Legislative Session there were 6,276 House and Senate bills filed. Only 1,323 of those bills made it through the entire legislative process and passed. However, of those bills that were passed, 43 were vetoed by the Governor. September 1, 2015 marks the day that many of these bills become effective. Check below for some news and highlights of laws that have become effective that might affect you!
